I was looking for a simple Christmas Decoration to be 3d printed using Blender and, obviously as quickly and simply as possible!
First of all you have to activate extra curve. Go to User Preferences -> Add Curve and check Extra Objects.
Now you have new curve objects to play with!
For this example I have used Spirals (spiral type n° 3). After playing a bit with parameters I have made a simple square shape and, after converting it to curve, used the Bevel Function for the spiral...done!
If you have a 3d printed you can download this Christmas Decoration from my page on Thingiverse!
