MiniMetalMaker: 3D print with metal clay

www.minimetalmaker.com
MiniMetalMaker is a desktop 3d print that allows you to print metal. The printer bed size is 6 x 6 x 6 cm with a movement resolution up to 1600 steps/mm.

After a crowdfunding campaign on Indiego the project is currently under development and initial delivery of beta products is on track.

The material used for the printing is metal clay, a pre-mixed emulsion of metal particles in a water soluble organic binder. You can use different clay types like copper, bronze, steel, silver and gold.

After printing your object, to complete the process you have to put it into a kiln (600°C - 900°C) the binder burns away and the metal particles fuse together.

You can see the printer in action in this video!
